With a potential cutoff for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) looming, Onondaga County is expanding some programs for residents who rely on food assistance.
“We are working with Peace Incorporated and our Department of Adult and Long-term Care at our senior dining sites. We are going to immediately expand those dining sites so that seniors, many of our seniors [who] are on SNAP, can go into one of the various dining sites,” said County Executive Ryan McMahon during a press conference Thursday.
