LIST: Where to go in Central Texas for food distributions as SNAP benefits pause approaches

AUSTIN, Texas — Millions of Texans are expected to lose access to federal food assistance starting Nov. 1 as the government shutdown that began on Oct. 1 continues.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, will soon be unavailable for more than 3 million Texans after Congress missed its deadline to fund federal agencies.

The Central Texas Food Bank said no identification is required and everyone is welcome at its food distributions. Only minimal paperwork is needed…
