Liberty, MO – Clay County deputies are enforcing “Operation Lights Out” this Halloween, ensuring all registered sex offenders comply with state safety laws meant to protect children during trick-or-treating hours.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, more than 440 registered offenders across the county must turn off their exterior lights after 5 p.m. tonight and are prohibited from any Halloween-related contact with children.
