ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -St. Louis Public Schools announced Friday the districts chief legal officer would be resigning before the end of the year.
SLPS said Laura McLaughlin told the district she intended to resign on Dec. 5, and added McLaughlin’s resignation came before Dr. Millicent Borishade was fired as the district’s superintendent.
“We are deeply grateful for Ms. McLaughlin’s exceptional service and dedication to the students, staff, and families of Saint Louis Public Schools during her tenure,” said Interim Superintendent Dr. Myra Berry. “Her expertise and guidance have been invaluable in navigating complex legal matters, ensuring the district operates with integrity and upholding our mission to provide quality education. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”…
