Investigation clears deputies in shooting of armed suspect at Boise sports complex

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The investigation into the officer-involved shooting that killed Lucas Alleman in 2024 found the deputies involved were justified.

On October 15, 2024, Ada County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to arrest Lucas Alleman, 43, on charges including lewd conduct and rape of a minor. While detectives were with the victim and a family member at the Star Police Department, Alleman called, threatening to kill himself. He was located at a sports complex near the 9800 block of West Hill Road in Boise.

Ada County Sheriff deputies used a drone to find Alleman under a tree at the sports complex. As he tried to move toward his motorcycle, deputies commanded him to show his hands and deployed distraction devices…
