ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A new partnership between a popular local music venue and an Asheville-based nonprofit organization is turning live music into a movement of generosity.
BeLoved Asheville announced on social media that starting Oct. 31 and continuing through the coming months, concertgoers at The Orange Peel can bring non-perishable food items to every show. All food donations will support local families in need, especially those affected by the upcoming pause in SNAP benefits.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a federal program that provides monthly food benefits to low-income individuals and families across the country.
