On November 1, 2025, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) detectives began a homicide investigation after a fatal shooting in the 6100 block of Old Plank Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. Officers responded to an Assist Medic call at about 12:26 a.m. They found a female victim with a gunshot wound. MEDIC took her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
CMPD’s Homicide Unit, Crime Scene Search, Operations Command, Victim Services, Charlotte Fire Department, and MEDIC responded to the scene. Detective Carter is leading the investigation.
