The victim whose body was found in the trunk of a car parked outside of a Sam’s Club store in Oakwood has been confirmed to have been a 4-year-old girl from White County.
An incident report obtained by AccessWDUN through an Open Records Request with the Oakwood Police Department said officers found the child’s body in the trunk of a red 2016 Nissan Sentra in the parking lot on Mundy Mill Road. Officers were first called to the scene at 3:22 p.m. on Sunday, October 26.
“The information being received was that a mother had contacted family members about some type of injury involving her child,” the narrative from the incident report said…
