Ripley Man Accused of Driving with BAC of .27%

A Ripley man faces a number of charges after an investigation into a report of a vehicle in a ditch in the Town of Ripley on Friday. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputes were called to the intersection of North East-Sherman Road and South Ripley Road at about 7:45 AM and identified the driver as 58-year-old George Stoddard. Deputies found that Stoddard was allegedly driving the vehicle with a BAC of .27%, more than three times the legal limit. He was charged with moving from lane unsafely, improper or unsafe turn, felony DWI, and aggravated DWI. Stoddard was later released with tickets for Ripley Town Court…
