OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WATE) — The 2023 case of a school bus driver in Oak Ridge who was charged with aggravated assault has concluded after an Anderson County jury found him not guilty.
Matthew Bak was charged in November 2023 after police received a report that he had acted aggressively towards an elementary-aged student. An Anderson County court clerk confirmed that he was found not guilty by a trial jury on Thursday.

His attorney released a statement following the ruling.
“After an agonizing two-year ordeal, justice has finally prevailed. From the very beginning, my client maintained his innocence and placed his faith in the truth and in the judicial process.
