Despite “sewage sludge” on the floor of a bathroom and in the kitchen, a Springfield restaurant continued to operate, according to an Oct. 23 inspection by the Springfield-Greene County Health Department. The restaurant fixed the issue while the inspection was happening, the report said, and did not have its permit suspended.
Captain D’s No. 3545, 2964 S. National Ave., was cited for having “sewage sludge” on the floor in the men’s restroom and around the floor drain in the back kitchen area, the Oct. 23 report said. The restaurant was still operating while the bathrooms were blocked off. During the inspection, a plumber arrived and “said issue was fixed, just needed to be cleaned up,” according to the report.
The restaurant will not need a reinspection…
