St. Louis leaders aim to use $13.7M for winter housing aid

ST. LOUIS — City officials are fast tracking several pieces of legislation through the Board of Aldermen in an effort to open new shelters and help displaced residents before winter.

“Getting our most vulnerable neighbors safely through winter is currently the top priority of my administration,” Mayor Cara Spencer said Thursday. “I’ve made it clear to my team that I will move heaven and earth to make sure that we are providing safe shelter for folks in need this winter.”
