Students relocated for several days after sewer line fractures in Salt Lake charter school

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The discovery of a fractured sewer line forced the relocation of students from a charter school in Salt Lake City, following reports of staff and students feeling ill over the course of multiple months.

The Open Classroom charter school building in The Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City was closed Wednesday due to an “urgent sewage repair” that would require water to be shut off for multiple days, according to officials with the Salt Lake City School District.
