Our Community Cares for the Animals

On October 5th, the Cape Coral Animal Shelter hosted its 6th annual Blessing of the Pets. This cherished celebration brought together people and pets of all faiths. All four-leggers received a personal blessing, while their owners received memorable keepsakes, an opportunity for a professional photo, and an array of delicious treats.

“Blessing of the Pets is one of the most treasured community events of CCAS,” says Liz McCauley, Executive Director “Coming together to celebrate them in this way is truly beautiful.” This event is just one example of the many wonderful annual events offered at the CCAS.

McCauley also states, “Our pets bring us companionship, joy, and love every single day.”

The Cape Coral Animal Shelter & Veterinary Clinic is an optimal choice in finding a shelter pet. Puppies, dogs, cats, and kittens are all looking for forever homes. To adopt a dog or puppy, one can make an appointment online for a meet and greet session. For those interested in adopting a cat or kitten, no appointment is needed. Experienced animal specialists can help families find the right furry pet that fits into their lifestyle. Adoption hours vary.

The pets have all been given the care needed to be placed into a forever home. All adoptable dogs and cats have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Adoption prices vary from $325 for a puppy (under 10 months) to $85 for senior dogs (8 years and older). Kittens (under 10 months) are $95, and Senior Cats (8 years and older) are $40.
