Camp Holiday Trails breaks ground on $2.5-million medical expansion

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – Camp Holiday Trails is expanding its ability to serve children and teens with medical needs.

On Saturday, November 1, the Charlottesville-based nonprofit held a reception to celebrate the groundbreaking of its new “Med Korner” facility — a $2.5-million project designed to enhance year-round care for campers.

The new medical building will include additional treatment rooms, a sensory space, and an expanded 24-hour pharmacy built to hospital-grade standards. Construction is being led by Martin Horn and Design Develop, with completion expected by summer 2026…
