The Rockport community is gearing up for a race like no other. On Saturday, November 8, runners and walkers will take to the scenic shores of Rockport Beach Park for the inaugural “Stop, Drop, Run” 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, benefiting the Rockport Volunteer Fire Department.
This community fundraiser, organized by the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, will feature routes winding through downtown Rockport, along Water Street, and down Fulton Beach Road.
“We wanted to design a route that lets people experience Rockport’s beauty,” Fire Chief Jamie McAlister said. “Runners will stay close to the water and enjoy the coast; it’s a perfect way to combine fitness, fun, and community pride.”…
