The Jackson Police Department, in partnership with Molina Healthcare, hosted a “One Warm Coat” giveaway last evening at the JPD Training Academy, providing free winter coats to local children and teens.
Young people from the Stewpot After School Program, Mother Goose, and The Young Futuristic Project browsed racks of new and gently used coats in a range of styles, colors, and sizes. Beyond the warm gear, attendees spent time with JPD officers. Members of the command staff participated as well. This helps build trust and connection with Jackson youth and the officers.
