Springfield Central was dominant on the way to winning the SWMO Swim & Dive Championship team title on Saturday. The Bulldogs swept the relays and won two other individual event titles on the way to posting a total of 561 points to beat runner-up Glendale’s output of 472 points.
Central won the 200-yard medley relay (1:39.19), 200-yard freestyle relay (1:32.48) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:20.85). Owen Gray took top honors in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:48.06 while Brayden Miao won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 57.43.
The top individual performace of the day came from Glendale’s Carson Butler. He swam a blistering 50.58 to win the 100-yard butterfly setting a meet record and tying the pool record in the process.
