Final Suspect Arrested by Adams County Sheriff’s Office in Extensive Metro-Area Grand Jury Operation

After an extensive metro-wide law enforcement effort that began on October 22, Kimberly Salas, the last outstanding suspect from a grand jury indictment, has been arrested. According to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Salas during a traffic stop close to the intersection of I-76 and Federal Blvd on Tuesday, October 28.

The operation that led to Salas’s arrest originated out of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office as part of a grand jury investigation. It entailed a coordinated strike early in the morning involving SWAT teams securing nine locations across the Metro Area. These included several blocks in unincorporated areas of both Adams and Boulder Counties, along with operations in Denver, Wheat Ridge, Federal Heights, and Johnstown. The indictment related to these actions is set to be made public by the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office once all appropriate individuals are in custody.

On the day of the operation, SWAT concluded their tactical activities without incident, as reported by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. “All tactical operations concluded safely, and there is no threat to the public,” they said in a statement obtained by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
