19 people left without a home after Five Points South fire

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – First responders tended to the smoldering ashes Saturday afternoon left behind nearly two days after a devastating fire ripped through residential buildings in Birmingham’s Five Points South.

Nineteen people left without a home, many of them lost everything. Miraculously, no one was injured after a small vacant building on 20th Street South caught fire quickly spreading to the residential buildings next door.
