Japanese restaurant in Brookline closing after 27 years

A Japanese restaurant in Brookline is closing its doors after 27 years of service.

FuGaKyu Japanese Cuisine announced on Facebook on Friday it is shutting down on Nov. 5 for “personal reasons.”

With deepest gratitude, we thank every patron who has graced our tables and shared countless memories with us over the years,” the post reads. “This chapter may close, but it marks the dawn of exciting new journeys ahead for our team and family.”…
