Sheriff’s Office CARES Program Holds First Strategy Table

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office CARES program recently held its first quarterly Strategy Table. It’s an extension of the Situation Table, which is a weekly meeting of law enforcement, public safety, public health, health systems, and other community-based providers to address situations of individuals that are at acute elevated risk. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Strategy Table provides an opportunity for community stakeholders to review the data from the Situations and identify areas of opportunity to address gaps. More than 18 agencies were represented at the meeting held on October 22nd. They included representatives from the New York State Office of Mental Health, law enforcement, public health, behavioral health, hospitals, housing providers, the DMV, and other local community providers.
