West Michigan veteran who relies on SNAP concerned about benefits

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — On November 1, federal funding for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program officially lapsed and no benefits were issued to millions of people who rely on the service.

Two federal judges have ruled the Trump administration must use emergency funds to partially cover food stamp benefits. Despite the ruling, thousands of people across Michigan are facing delays to their benefits.
