The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

Aldi, 3520 N. 5th Street Highway, Reading, October 25. Pass. Observed raw ground beef stored above raw whole beef. Per Food Code Guidelines, because ground beef is cooked to 155 degrees F. and whole beef is cooked to 145 degrees F, ground beef should be stored below whole cuts of beef.

Dunkin, 3634 Pottsville Pike, Reading, October 25. Pass. One employee wearing hair restraint (visor) underneath the upper layer of hair. Consider alternate hair restraint, such as a hairnet. Food dispensing utensil in bulk bin non-potentially hazardous food observed stored inside the food container with handles not above the food. Observed wet wiping cloth in front prep area, not being stored in sanitizer solution. The sanitizer bucket is dated/marked 10/25/25, 9:17 a.m.-1:17 p.m., but contained no sanitizer solution.
