WORCESTER ― The increasingly scrutinized text messages of Michael Proctor, the state trooper fired after the Karen Read trials, could impact the prosecution of multiple Worcester-related cases, including a murder.
A recently produced batch of texts — the disclosure of which preceded Proctor abandoning his bid to reclaim his job — has been ordered turned over to defense lawyers in the cases of two Worcester men accused of murdering a third city man in Randolph in 2022.
They are also being sought by Aidan “Turtleboy” Kearney of Holden, whose coverage of Read on his Turtleboy News website preceded widespread attention on Read’s case, as well as criminal charges against him…
