Iowa HHS to distribute up to $14M to fight opioid crisis

IOWA, USA — The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (Iowa HHS) is launching a new funding opportunity for community efforts to reduce opioid misuse.

Two rounds of funding will distribute up to $14 million total — $7 million during a round starting now and another $7 million during a round starting in the spring.

“By using Iowa’s opioid settlement funds to expand access to prevention, treatment, and recovery services we’re building a stronger Iowa — one that invests in people, believes in second chances, and never gives up on anyone,” Gov. Kim Reynolds said in an Iowa HHS press release…
