St. Elizabeth softball wins second straight State Championship

SPRINGFIELD — St. Elizabeth softball added three runs off on home runs late in the Class 1 State Championship in Springfield Saturday earning a 4-1 win over Gallatin.

Gallatin’s Brynn Bird led off the game with a solo home run, but a triple for St. Elizabeth’s Kinley Kemna and an RBI single from Charlize Duemmel tied the game in the first inning.
