BETHLEHEM — One woman died and three people were injured in a three-car collision on Interstate 87 in Bethlehem Saturday.
As of early Sunday morning, police had not yet released the name nor any identifying details about the woman who died in the crash. The driver of the vehicle that, according to State Police, struck the two others, was charged with vehicle and traffic violations.
The crash happened around 4:44 p.m. near Exit 23. A 2011 Chevrolet sedan, driven by a 37-year-old man from Ringgold, Virginia, was traveling northbound “at a high rate of speed” in the left lane when the driver tried to merge into the right lane and sideswiped a 2009 Ram pickup truck, according to a news release from State Police.
