HARLEM, Ga. (WJBF) – The Mad Hatter Farm in held its annual fall festival for families on Sunday. It is the only handicap-accessible farm in the CSRA. It features wheelchair paths, raised garden beds, and activities designed for children of all abilities—all inspired by a young girl named Cassie, the daughter of the farm’s owner, Jill Marier.
“When we stepped in, they told us she was terminal, so Cassie wasn’t able to smile,” said owner
“She was in a wheelchair and wasn’t able to even control her body temperature. She was on a ventilator, so she couldn’t leave the farm or go places to experience life.”…
