Charleston County overdose deaths spike, raising alarm among advocates

CHARLESTON , S.C. (WCIV) — Charleston County is grappling with a concerning rise in overdose deaths, with overdoses recorded on Oct. 27 alone, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.

Chris Cherry, director of operations at Favor Lowcountry, highlighted the widespread nature of the crisis. “It’s just flooded out there,” he said.
