HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Low clouds and damp roads greet early risers across the Tennessee Valley as November arrives with a cool, unsettled edge. A few passing showers ripple through the region this morning, but brighter skies are already lining up just west of the Mississippi River — a signal of improving weather as the weekend unfolds.

According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, a light band of showers may linger into Sunday morning before drier air pushes south.
