COLUMBIA – A three-set rally by the Socastee Braves downed the Catawba Ridge Copperheads in the 5A Division II state championship.
Socastee won 3-1 (25-17, 18-25, 19-25, 22-25) after Catawba Ridge won the opening set.
“We had some miscommunication on the court,” said Catawba Ridge head coach Ross Lisee. “The guys fought through it. We got pressured in the second set and wasn’t able to respond. We had a great season. I’m proud of my guys. We had some growth today and that’s all you can ask for.”…
