Proposed law takes aim at ending Daylight Saving Time for Missouri and Arkansas

With clocks falling back earlier today, we’ve returned from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time.

While I certainly enjoyed that extra hour of sleep, it came at he cost of a much earlier sunset. The Ozarks won’t see the sun set after 6 pm again until late February.

Since we changed back to Standard Time, sunrise will occur at roughly 7 am during the winter months, with the sun setting at 5 pm. If Daylight Saving Time were kept year-round, that extra hour of sunlight would be shifted to the end of the day, rather than the beginning…
