Army National Guard Lt. Col. Nick Suhr, a Delmar resident and Iraq War veteran, has received his second award of the Meritorious Service Medal upon retirement after 27 years of exemplary duty.
Col. Mark Frank, New York Army National Guard chief of staff, presented the medal to Suhr during a ceremony on Oct. 17 at New York National Guard Headquarters in Latham.
