The competition was fierce, but the baby of the bunch, Pickles was the clear winner. While the other finalists were stars in their own rite, it was Pickles that won the Columbus vote.

Pickles, CEO of chaos
Pickles is the future star of his very own children’s adventure book and it’s mostly thanks to his winning personality and clear leadership skills.
According to Pickles’ human, Misty Wright, he is a “tiny tornado of personality stuffed into a dachshund’s long little body.” Is naturally brave-hearted and apparently has a stubborn streak that contributes to him being such a leader among dogs.
He knows exactly what he wants, whether it is a treat, a nap or just a warm sunbeam to enjoy, and he runs his house.
Pickles, chief best friend
When he is not “curled up like a cinnamon roll” he is spending time with his best friend, Dash. Even though they are pups of a different size, he admits he is the brains of the operation. They are, admits owner Wright, a package deal and likens them “peanut butter and jelly, only louder.”
Pickles wear many hats
He is a major escape artist and once managed to wiggle out of his harness, mid-walk, to chase a butterfly. The tables quickly turned with the butterfly started chasing him.
He is a notorious sock-thief, and no pair is safe from his hoarding. He is a collector, not a destroyer, and most of the socks just wind up as part of his secret stash under the couch…
