PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A coastal low is producing showers across the eastern half of the state. Showers have left roads damp from the Triad eastward this morning, while skies have been clear all night in our western counties. As the morning progresses, the coastal low is going to move to the northeast, and skies will clear out nicely. We are going to be able to enjoy a mostly sunny day with seasonable high temperatures in the mid-60s.
It will be clear overnight with lows near 40 degrees.
High pressure dominates the forecast, with mostly sunny skies staying put through Thursday. Clouds are expected to increase through the day on Friday and there will be a 60% chance of showers Friday night. Another chance of showers pops up Saturday night as a cold front is forecast to sweep across the state. Highs will stay in the 65 to 70 degrees range for the next seven days.
