Police investigating after shots fired overnight in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police are investigating after shots were fired in Myrtle Beach early Monday morning.

Officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department responded shortly before 1:30 a.m. to 4th Avenue North in reference to a shot spotter gun detection alert in the area.

According to police, when officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with people who lived in an apartment nearby. Police say an investigation revealed there was an exchange of gunfire in the area…
