NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — More than a month after a man was shot several times during a carjacking in Antioch, a teen suspect has been charged in connection with the incident.
According to court documents, shortly before 9 p.m. on Oct. 1, the 37-year-old victim was eating in his vehicle outside of a shopping center near Bell Road and Mt. View Road when a suspect opened the car door and pistol whipped him. The victim reportedly told authorities he struggled with the masked suspect for the gun before he heard several gunshots.

The victim was found on the ground in the parking lot with gunshot wounds to his shoulders, backside, face, and leg, reports said. He was reportedly taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Surveillance footage from a nearby business reportedly showed a suspect firing toward the victim’s vehicle using a gun with an automatic weapon conversion device, documents said. Detectives on the scene found multiple shell casings, a Glock 20 handgun, multiple live rounds and bullet fragments.
