Lincoln Police were called to an apartment complex near 31st and North Hill Road around 1:00 Monday morning on a report of 20-25 people fighting outside. “When officers arrived, people were getting into vehicles and leaving the parking lot,” says LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
She says a 2013 white Hyundai Sonata was seen with its lights on and someone inside screaming. “When the officer approached, the car sped off and crashed into a parked pickup truck, which moved sideways and hit a parked van.”
Thomas says the driver and all of the passengers got out and ran off. “Officers were able to catch up with the driver, 18-year-old Aziyah Weaver of Lincoln, and take her into custody.” She says officers smelled alcohol and conducted a DUI investigation…
