NAMPA, ID – A teenage boy was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot by police during a violent incident involving his mother.
According to the Nampa Police Department, officers were called at 7:30 p.m. on October 31 to a disturbance in a park near 21st Avenue South and 2nd Street South, where a male juvenile was reportedly attacking his mother. When officers arrived, the mother was outside with visible injuries, and the teen had retreated into the home.
Officers say the teen aggressively confronted them with a knife at the front door. Two officers fired their weapons, striking him in the abdomen and both arms. He was disarmed and received immediate first aid before being transported by ambulance to a local hospital…
