HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WJBF) – AARP Georgia, in partnership with local organizations and law enforcement, is hosting a free community fraud prevention event on Saturday.
According to organizers, the event, called “Scam Jam”, will be held Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Diamond Lakes – Robert Howard Community Center located on 103 Diamond Lakes Way in Hephzibah.
Attendees will learn how to recognize and avoid scams AARP says affects many Georgians, including investment scams, online shopping fraud, classified ad fraud, lottery and prize scams, tech support scams and romance scams.
