Buffalo bakery owner speaks out after reported burglary

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Fairy Cakes Bakeshop on Parkside Avenue was burglarized early Sunday morning. No one was hurt, but the front door was smashed, a cash register drawer containing about $200 was stolen, and the shop’s tablet, card reader, and receipt machine were damaged. Total damages are estimated at $1,500, according to the Buffalo Police Department in an police report.

Buffalo police said they responded to a 911 call reporting a suspicious incident at the bakery. Officers confirmed the front door had been broken, and the suspect fled in an unknown direction. The bakery has interior cameras, but the incident was not fully captured, and there are no exterior cameras on the plaza.
