Local businessman pleads guilty to felony charge

CLEVELAND — A local businessman is expected in court Monday to face a felony charge of attempted strangulation.

Bobby George has been under investigation since last year, when Cleveland City prosecutors charged him with numerous counts in August of 2024.

Late last month,  however, George and his attorneys worked out a deal with prosecutors where he would face the one felony charge in exchange for a guilty plea. Last week, at his initial arraignment, George entered a not guilty plea.  When asked by the I-Team if he still planned to go through with the plea, he said, “We will see.”
