AVON, Ohio (WANE) — An Ohio-based auto parts manufacturer has announced a second installation of a solar plant in northeast Indiana, expanding the amount of energy powering its distribution centers.
On Monday, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC announced the installation of 2,346 solar panels at its Bendix Distribution Center (BDC) located in Huntington, Indiana.
The expansion comes four years after the initial solar plant installation in 2021, and allows the plant to now generate more than 3 million kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, which is enough to power around 300 homes…
