MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Good Samaritans jumped into action to help an elderly woman who was beaten by a masked man while walking her dog in East Memphis.
24-year-old Kountu Deeka was charged with aggravated assault and abuse of a vulnerable adult in the attack on South Highland Street Sunday morning.
The 79-year-old victim, who is out of the hospital and home recovering, was attacked near the Edinborough Towers.
Police said at least two drivers passing by saw the victim being punched and kicked and honked their horns.One driver got out of his car and chased the suspect, later identified as Deeka, behind Edinborough Towers…
