MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — One woman is fed up with seeing constant illegal dumping in her community. Capelle Morgan has called on Murfreesboro city leaders and her neighbors to take accountability.
Morgan said this issue has been ongoing for years and people are purposefully dumping their items. She was washing her car at a gas station on South Rutherford Boulevard when she turned out of the parking lot and saw couches illegally dumped there. She told News 2 she’d even seen toilets and mattresses dumped in the area.
“It really gets underneath my skin because I do care about the environment, and I do take pride in this city and this town,” Morgan said. “I love living here. I love our community. It just saddens me that people don’t value it the way that I do and they also don’t value the environment.”…
