Horry County Schools celebrates big wins as 2025 South Carolina School Report Cards release

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Horry County Schools are celebrating a year of success after the release of the 2025 South Carolina School Report Cards – showing students across the district are outperforming much of the state.

According to the South Carolina Department of Education, 38 out of the district’s 57 schools earned ratings of “good” or “excellent,” more than two-thirds of HCS schools surpassed state expectations.

Horry County Spokesperson, Lisa Bourcier said “16 HCS schools were rated Excellent and 22 were rated Good, while 18 earned a score of Average. No HCS schools were rated Unsatisfactory.”…
