Philadelphia Mayor Launches $14M ‘One Philly (SNAP) Support Plan’ to Aid Residents Amid Federal Shutdown

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker has introduced the “One Philly (SNAP) Support Plan” to strengthen the city’s response to the ongoing federal government shutdown and its impact on residents relying on SNAP benefits. The plan brings together government and private sector partners to address disruptions affecting vulnerable households. According to Philadelphia Solicitor Renee Garcia, Mayor Parker signed an Executive Order activating the plan across city agencies.

As per the City of Philadelphia release, city data shows that nearly half a million Philadelphians are at risk of losing access to SNAP benefits due to the shutdown.
