At age 17, Tony Moreno’s mother gave permission for him to enlist in the U.S. Army, where he eventually became a military police paratrooper in the Army Airborne. He served three overseas deployments in Germany and Panama.
Moreno spent 24 years in uniform as a member of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. Throughout his career he fought against corruption within the department and worked to take drugs off of the streets.
Moreno coached youth sports and volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Humane Animal Rescue. He supports local organizations such as the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #1, the Greater Pittsburgh Police Emerald Society, Locking Arms Men’s Fellowship, VFW, and the Veteran Police Association…
