SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Price Chopper/Market 32 launched a series of actions to help families affected by the suspension of SNAP benefits being suspended.
The grocery store has lowered the cost of several products that are in high demand and made them eligible for increased savings and discounts for a limited time. They include:
- Large White Dozen Grade A Eggs — $1.49
- PICS Brand Pasta select varieties– $1.00
- Francesco Rinaldi Pasta Sauce — Three for $5.00
- Avocados — $1.00
- Red or Green Grapes, 2 lb package — $5.00
- Thomas’ English Muffins — Buy one, get two free
- Sea Best Breaded Shrimp — Buy one, get two free
- Market 32 Bone-in Split Chicken Breasts — Buy one, get one free
- Quaker Instant Oatmeal, General Mills and Kellogg’s Large Size Cereal — Buy one, get one
The discounts will remain in place through Nov. 8.
Tops Friendly Markets
Tops Friendly Markets launched its 15th annual Food for Families campaign earlier than it normally does in response to SNAP benefits being suspended.
Now through Dec. 24, customers to make donations at the register. Tops said donations of Little Brown Bags of Hope can be made in $5/$10/$20 increments, or customers can round up their transaction. The bags contain nutritional items…
